Ranger is a full power GPS, with interface in English, Chinese or Japanese.
Ranger will take full advantage of the NDS console’s 32-bit ARM9 and ARM7 based dual-CPU graphics processor and the interface chip, along with a 32MB extended memory allocation. This will guarantee to keep the CPU in direct transmission to retrieve data quickly and scroll smoothly even with the more informative maps.
Just use the NDS console touch-screen with one hand and quickly select the function you want to configure. Ranger's Cross interactive interface (XMB) menu item icon not only will it support scrolled window-controlled operation, the menu and selected slide can be completed directly through the stylus. In map browsing mode, just click the X button on the label and it will calibrate the current baseline position. The correct value must be entered first for calibration to occur with other products, which can become a hassle. Ranger calibration can be achieved with a simple operation.
Ranger has a built in rechargeable battery. After setting the satellite data during first boot the system will then memorize this data using satellite orbit information. This location coordinated will be resumed on the next boot, which will quickly receive and calculate the current location coordinates. This will save a lot of time on waiting and searching for satellite information on every boot.
From 50-200 meters, a maximum of 15 different grades can be changed with switch-scale maps. Scale of the map can be adjusted according to users needs. Support GIF format map files.
Color map display mode can be switch between the day and night modes. Moreover when automatic mode is enabled, night mode will be automatically be switched on during night time.
It requires a Slot1 cart to operate on Nintendo DS/Lite, such as Edge, Cyclo, M3, R4 etc.
